Terms and Conditions of Membership

PlaybyPlay UK is a unique service organisation that fills unsold seats for performances. We do not sell tickets.

The number of memberships is limited and subject to availability and approval. Minimum age for membership is 18.

Membership is 100% refundable up to thirty (30) days after purchase if it has not been used to reserve tickets. However, after a membership has been used to reserve tickets it is no longer refundable. The refundable period may be extended from time to time via special promotional offers.

All PlaybyPlay UK members must follow the appropriate Standards of Decorum, Discretion and Dependability as established by this organization in conjunction with participating theatre producers (See Standards of Decorum, Discretion and Dependability as an Addendum to Terms and Conditions

The cost of a PlaybyPlay UK Patron membership is £75. Membership is valid for 12 months from the date a member is accepted.

Members are offered from 2 to 4 tickets per show, based on available inventory. Ticket quantities and availability to members are at the full discretion of the show's producers, not PlaybyPlay UK.

Only PlaybyPlay UK members may reserve tickets for shows. PlaybyPlay UK memberships are Non-Transferable. In all cases, the Registered Member of PlayByPlay UK must present appropriate identification to collect reserved tickets at the box office or other designated location. No exceptions are made to this policy. Misuse of membership will result in immediate cancellation without refund.

For each ticket reserved, members are required to pay a small Service Fee. Fees currently range from £1.00-£3.00 per ticket and are clearly indicated for each performance.

Members have the option of paying Service Fees for ticket reservations in advance. Our website tracks a member's Prepaid Service Fee balance and subtracts the appropriate fee for each ticket reserved. When members log into the Play by Play UK website their Service Fee balance appears at the top of the page in red. By logging in with their confidential password members may also access their Prepaid Service Fee history by clicking "Transaction History" at the top of any page. Transaction History details when Prepaid Service Fees were paid, which tickets were reserved and the dates for all transactions. When a member's Prepaid Service Fee balance is not sufficient to cover the fees needed for a ticket reservation the website will direct the member to the Credit Card Transaction page to make a deposit into their Service Fee account. Members may deposit the Service Fee for just the tickets they desire at that time or, for convenience, deposit an additional amount for use at a later date. For security purposes, PlaybyPlay UK does not capture or store any credit card information, therefore members must enter all credit card information with each transaction. Prepaid Service Fees are refundable upon a member's request.

Only PlaybyPlay UK members may collect their reserved tickets at the box office or other designated location. Members must have a Reservation Confirmation in hand when collecting tickets. Box office, theatre management, and PlaybyPlay UK officials reserve the right to require appropriate identification to verify a member's identity.

Members must collect their tickets at the time and location designated on the PlaybyPlay UK website for each individual show. Members failing to do so will not be issued refunds for Service Fees. Neglect to collect tickets at the time and location designated may result in immediate cancellation of membership without refund.

Members arriving late are forbidden from approaching the Box Office to request tickets. This action will result in immediate cancellation of membership without refund. Theatres count on PlaybyPlay UK members to follow their designated instructions so as not to interfere with the arrival and service of audience members who have paid for their tickets.

In case of an extenuating circumstance or emergency, if a member is unable to attend a reserved performance the member should notify PlaybyPlay UK as soon as possible. No refund of Service Fee will be given. Failure to notify PlaybyPlay UK prior to a confirmed ticket reservation not being honoured may result in immediate cancellation of membership without refund.

A performance "No Show" may result in immediate cancellation of membership without refund.

Seating locations are at the discretion of the producers or the box office and should never be questioned by members.

Should a theatre or box office be unable to honour a PlaybyPlay UK ticket reservation after the member has followed all designated rules, members should co-operate fully with the theatre and inform PlaybyPlay UK immediately. Appropriate Service Fee refunds will be made immediately and the theatre will be contacted to resolve the issue.

Selling of tickets acquired through PlaybyPlay UK is strictly prohibited by law and will result in the immediate cancellation of membership (without refund) and appropriate legal action.

No Service Fees will be refunded unless a reserved performance is cancelled.

PlaybyPlay UK and theatre management reserve the right to refuse admission for inappropriate dress or conduct, which will also result in cancellation of membership without refund.

PlaybyPlay UK reserves the right to alter membership fees and service fees at the discretion of PlaybyPlay UK management. Members will be notified a minimum of 30 days prior to an increase.

Members may renew their membership at any time. A renewal membership will automatically become active on the anniversary date of the active membership. PlaybyPlay UK will remind members via email a minimum of 30 days prior to membership expiration.

PlaybyPlay UK is a privately owned organisation and as such reserves the right to refuse membership.

Show listings and information provided on the PlaybyPlay UK website are confidential, proprietary and intended solely for the use of our members. Anyone discovered disclosing or sharing such information in any public forum deemed inappropriate by PlaybyPlay UK management may have their membership immediately revoked without refund.

  • No discussion of your ticket being complimentary should ever take place at the theatre

  • Any discussion of performances previously seen through PlaybyPlay UK should be only in a positive vein, with no mention whatsoever that your tickets were complimentary
